1. Congratulations on winning, what do you think of your prize?
Very cute and petite and I would never have thought I'd appreciate eel skin but it has such a nice texture to it and the bright pink is perfect because it's vibrant and goes with my purple hair! I love the pin tuck design and the stitching is Perfect, it's made really well. I do love it!

2. What are you going to wear it with?
Considering it's a coin purse it's gonna be handy for a night out because Its smaller than my current purse and it can still fit my cards in unlike other coin purses. However being bright pink makes it harder to match with other clothes but luckily for me I have purple hair and wear bright clothes to match my hair so it'll match all the clothes I have to.

3. Can you describe your fashion style?
I shop in topshop alot and miss selfridge so I have quite a simplistic preppy look with one main vibrant focus item but when I go out I do dress quite chic.

Congratulations to our very own Heidi Mottram! She was recently featured in a four page spread for Fiasco magazine. Her exciting and compelling interview included details of her journey as a fledgling accessories designer, what steps she took to succeed, and her future in fashion.

Heidi who is famous for her exotic eel skin bags, purses and wallets recently began using salmon skin in her collection.

“I love eel-skin leather and this is what I specialise in. It is more luxurious than cowhide but is still ethical as it is a by-product of the food industry. I have started to branch out into other fish leathers such as salmon. The salmon is a lot more textured than the eel skin. The eel skin is so soft and takes the colours so well. I try to focus on jewel-coloured skins. I want to try and break away from the all-black bag. Why not add a splash of colour to our daily outfits?”

Heidi Mottram Photoshoot: Nude Model Meets Exotic Bag

Heidi Mottram is most famous for her stunning eel skin designs for bags, purses and wallets. She is a specialist in eel skin as a textile and is considered the UK guru in the use of the product in design and fashion. She has discovered new ways to work with and manipulate the skins, including pleating, ruching, pin tucking and folding to create new textures and shapes.

Of her chic eel-skin bags, Heidi tells the magazine: “Eel skin is super soft, feather light and luxurious to touch. It also dyes exceptionally well which allows me to create beautiful jewel coloured bags and purses. I use eel skin because of its amazing feel and also because it is a by product of the food industry. This gorgeous skin would be going to waste!”

Asked about using celebrity model Sophie Anderton in her latest campaign she says, “Sophie is a fan of my bags and was seen at the last Fashion Week and various other events with my bags. Who better to model my bags than someone who genuinely likes them.”
