Mr. Ambrose has set the bar high for creating exceptional old Hollywood glamour pieces. His exquisite Fa11/Winter 2011 collection was presented in Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week. The presentation was impeccably executed with romantic lighting highlighting the collection against a dark pink background. This almost gave you the feeling that you were stepping into a Vogue style photo shoot, yet you were the photographer. His inspiration clearly came from the 70’s era with high-waisted pants and dresses with pussybows. You also saw hints of the 20’s in some of the sequin dresses.
Stand out pieces included the blush plum embroidered cocktail dress with burn out ostrich feathers. Also memorable was the taupe & gold appliquéd bouillon evening gown.
Meticulous detailing really made this collection stand out with the use of ostrich feathers, fur and of course the sequin designs.
