The infamous Brighton Fashion week took place in the luxurious St Martin’s Church from 31st of May to the 5th of June and marked the end of the city’s legendary Brighton Fringe Festival. The fashion event featured runway shows including The Couture Show, Brighton Frocks Show, and Ready to Wear. The much talked about Couture Show on June 3rd showcased budding designers such as Tim Rhys-Evans, Vanessa Jordan, Millie Betito, and Alexei Izmaylov to name a few.

Here’s a quick glimpse of some of the beautiful collections everyone can’t stop talking about!

Tim Rhys-Evans, his inspiration comes from an air of surrealism combined with black and white Parisian fashion photography from the 1950s.

Vanessa Jordan
, “Annishinabee”, otherwise known as “original people”, was inspired by a mixture of cultural backgrounds. The collection included a flamboyant, artistic style of the Native American Indians, the leather biker culture and the theatrical grandeur of gothic and medieval couture.

Millie Betito’s collection offered a variety of various pleats, super soft draping and asymmetric tops and dresses.

Alexei Izmaylov, his collection embodied pops of colour and featuring his Club 101 scarves entertained the crowd! He received a standing ovation during this show night. More post coming soon on BFW...
